From June 2015, GPPA formalized its adherence to the Global Compact of the United Nations and undertakes to support and encourage its stakeholders (clients, employees, partners, suppliers, society and government) its 10 principles of conduct and action human rights, labor rights, environment and anti-corruption. In this way, GPPA is placed at the forefront of Mexico on cross-sectoral impact topics as well as on international relevance issues.
From June 2015, GPPA is a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and is committed to promote as part of products and services offered to the Tourism Sector, the sustainability criteria established by the council.
Since 2016, GPPA is a corporate partner of the National Association on Solar Energy, whose main statutory goals are: "To provide a forum where to discuss ideas, compare or exchange results and, in general, promote and foster the use of solar energy in its solar radiation form and the exploitation of resulting indirect phenomena, such as wind power, biomass, and hydraulic power ".
GPPA joined the Social Responsibility Promotion Committee of Quintana Roo since July of 2017 (ALIARSE por Quintana Roo), becoming a part of the board and taking over the Environmental Coordination and ASPY 2030, in order to foster and increase the corporate awareness of Social Responsibility through the promotion committee.
GPPA is a member of the voluntary declaration “Agreement for the Sustainability of the Yucatan Peninsula” (ASPY)” resulting from the wish of local corporations to modify their operations making them more friendly to the environment and local communities, in support of the ASPY signed by the three governments of the three states that make up the Yucatan Peninsula (Yucatán, Campeche and Quintana Roo).
The Science Director of GPPA is a founding member of the AMIA and currently serves as a spokesperson. AMIA, A.C. is a non-for-profit trade association with the essential objective of promoting the voices of the scientific, academic, technological, and legal community in the formulation of proposals dealing with environmental impacts and risks and strategic environmental assessments, strengthening the association of specialists who collaborate at a professional level in both the public and private sectors.
